This is a disused section of the Oxford Canal known as the ‘Brownsover Arm’. It is part of the original canal built in the late 18th Century, which was subsequently straightened out in the 1830’s leaving this section abandoned.The route then takes us towards Cosford, a shrunken medieval village. We pass very closely by the village farm and then head towards and past the shooting ground before making our way back over the fields to the Oxford Canal.
